CIBA / YCC Young Scientist Travel Award
The CIBA Foundation and the ACS Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) proudly support this award to provide funding
for young and early-career chemists to travel to and participate in a national or regional ACS meeting. Recipients must
be under the age of 35 and hold postdoctoral appointments
or have started their careers within the past 7 years. Awardees
receive financial support toward travel, registration, and accommodations.
Benefits: Each travel award will equal $1,000.00. Funds may
be applied only for registration, travel, and accommodations
and are restricted to traveling to ACS national or regional
meetings. Networking opportunities will also be provided.
Application due: Meetings occurring between January 1 and

ACS Science Coaches
Science Coaches is a joint American Chemical Society (ACS)
and American Association of Chemistry Teachers (AACT)
educational outreach initiative to enhance science skills in
students in elementary, middle, and high schools by pairing
chemists (coaches) with AACT teacher members, face-to-face
(Science Coaches One-on-One) or through a digital forum
(Science Coaches Teams).
Benefits: Science Coaches One-on-One, The American
Chemical Society donates $500 to the teacher’s school to enhance science education.

Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing
Diversity in the Chemical Sciences
Sponsored by the ACS Committee on Minority Affairs, the
Stanley C. Israel Regional Award recognizes individuals and
institutions that have advanced diversity in the chemical sciences and significantly stimulated or fostered activities that
promote inclusiveness within the region.
Benefits: The award consists of a medal and a $1,000 grant
to support and further the activities for which the award was
made. The award also will include funding to cover the recipient’s travel expenses to the ACS regional meeting at which the
award will be presented.
Application due: All ACS Regional Meetings held July 1
through December 3, August 1. All ACS Regional Meetings
occurring between January 1 and June 30, March 1.
American Association for the Advancement
(AAAS) Science & Technology Policy Fellowships
The AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships (STPF)
provide opportunities for outstanding scientists and engineers
to learn firsthand about policymaking while contributing
their knowledge and analytical skills to address today’s most
pressing societal challenges.
Benefits: Stipend of $75,000–$100,000 per year, along with
other support including reimbursement for health care
